Le Samedi 16 Juin 2018, journée de l’enfant africain, coïncidait avec la sortie récréative et formative de l’Association Havre d’Amour. Cette rencontre s’est déroulée sur le site d’attraction Family Beach de Cotonou. Cette sortie était l’occasion pour semer le rire et la joie dans une vie d’enfant. Au delà du ludique, cette rencontre avait pour but de permettre à ses enfants de garder un cœur innocent, de croire au rêve en dépit de l’absence du père. Nous avons la conviction que ce rêve leur donnera la force de se battre pour une merveilleuse destinée et de devenir à leur tour des porteurs de vision. Sans rêve, pas de vision. Cette sortie avait permis également la tenue du Focus Group des mères soutenues par l’association. Thématique développée : « Rebâtir un nouveau foyer après l’épreuve ». Et là, l’émotion était forte. La plupart des femmes rencontraient beaucoup de challenges quand après le veuvage ou l’abandon du conjoint, elles éprouvaient le désir de redonner un nouveau foyer à leurs enfants. Au point où elles estimaient n’avoir aucune chance d’attirer un homme à nouveau, qui plus est, avec leurs enfants à charge. A travers leurs témoignages déchirants, elles exposaient leur vulnérabilité sociale et la proie de choix qu’elles représentaient pour certains prédateurs sexuels. Plus que jamais, il importe pour nous de travailler à améliorer leur estime de soi et à augmenter leur autonomisation…
